Improve Your Bar In The Olympic Lifts

Improve Your Bar Path

It’s important that you lift the bar EFFICIENTLY. Some of the strongest guys in the world would be embarrassed by a low level national Olympic Weightlifter in the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. One thing that is common among elite lifters is their ability to move a barbell with precision and accuracy while keeping the bar in very close proximity to their body.

Common Fault

One of the most common faults we see in beginning and intermediate lifters is a misguided first and second pull. If you are unable to keep your balance in the foot stable you will consequently shift to the toes early. This throws off the timing and sequencing of the pull! I have put together this demonstration video on a drill you can use in your training and warm-ups to improve your timing and balance in your snatch and clean and jerk.
